3. At the Park...

There is an old swing in the park. Lots of children like the swing. Tom also loves the swing.

One day Tom went to the park, and he got on the swing.

After a while, Bill, who is one of Tom’s friends, came to the park. He talked to Tom. “Hello, Tom. I want to get on the swing. Let’s get on the swing by turns.”

Tom answered, ”No! I don’t want to get off the swing because I have just gotten on this swing right now.”

After a while, Lisa, who is one of Tom’s friends, came to the park. She talked to Tom. “Hello, Tom. I want to get on the swing. Let’s get on the swing by turns.” Tom answered, “No! I don’t want to get off the swing because I’m going to stand on one foot on the swing.”

After a while, Bob, who is one of Tom’s friends, came to the park. He talked to him. “Hello, Tom. I want to get on the swing. Let’s get on the swing by turns.” Tom answered, “No! I don’t want to get off the swing because I will speed up the swing.”

Three friends complained about Tom. “That’s unfair, isn’t it? Let's play by turns. We will go to sand box court if you don’t take turns.”

Tom kept them back in a hurry. “Please wait, wait... please. I’ll get off the swing after counting ten.” Tom started counting numbers. “ONE, TWO, THREE…ONE, TWO, THREE…ONE…TWO…”

“Tom, you have to count one to ten?” Bill asked Tom. Tom answered, “In fact, I can count one to three. It is hard for me to count numbers.”

“Well, we teach you how to count from one to ten.” Lisa said to Tom.

Friends helped to count numbers.
