13. Edison's Story

      Do you know Edison? Edison is a great inventor of America. His hometown is Milan, Ohio. He invented many useful things.

    One of his inventions is a phonograph. A phonograph is a kind of musical player. Many inventors tried to make it. But many of them failed to make it. Edison also failed many times. He tried again and again. He stayed up all night, and it lasted for five days to make it. At last he succeeded in recording his voice on December 6th in 1877. He invented a phonograph. Then, December 6th became the "Day of the Sound".

    Later, the phonograph was improved by other inventors and used all over the world. Many people enjoyed listening to music and many different sounds. Peoplefs life became happy and rich by Edisonfs phonograph for sure.
