10. Red Demon's Friend
    Long, long time ago, there was a red demon who was very kind. He was called Akaoni. He really liked human children, but he could not make friends with them because of his bad giant figure. He said to himself, “I want to play with children.”
 
   One day a blue demon called Aooni visited Akaoni.
“Hi, Akaoni-kun, how are you? Oh…” Aooni was very surprised. Akaoni looked very sad.
“Hey, boy! What’s the matter?”
“Aooni-kun…Please tell me how to make friends with human children! I’ve tried everything, but all of children run away when they look at me. It’s hard for me to make friends with children.”
“Come on, Akaoni-kun, I’ll help you. Let me see… Yes, I have a good idea.”
“What?”

“First of all…”Aooni explained the plan. It was wonderful.
“Great, Aooni-kun! You are going to help me to make friends with children, aren’t you? Thank you very much. This plan will make me very happy!”
“Not at all. Good luck, Akaoni-kun!”, Aooni smiled.

    A few days later, the day came. Children were playing with "MENKO" cards.
“Are you ready?”, Aooni said quietly behind a tree.
“Y yes,…o…of course.”, Akaoni answered.
“OK, now let’s go!” Aooni jumped out!
“GET OUT OF HERE, GET OUT OF HERE! HERE IS MY PLAYGROUND!!
I’LL EAT YOU!!!”

 “WOW! He’s a blue demon! Help me, help me.”, Children cried.
At that moment…
“STOP BAD BLUE DEMON! GET OUT OF HERE!!”
“Who are you? Said Aooni.
“I’m a FRIEND of children!”, said Akaoni, and he fought against Aooni.

At last, he won. Aooni ran away. Each of children said to Akaoni.
“Thank you very much. Thank you very much.”
“You are very strong!”
“We love you!”At last, one child said, “Let’s play with us.”

    Akaoni enjoyed playing with children until evening. Akaoni was very happy. It was like a dream.
“Aooni-kun will be glad to hear of my happiness.” Akaoni thought on his way home.
“I’ll meet him, tonight.”
“Good evening, are you at home? I have a good news.” Akaoni knocked on the door, but there was no answer. However, he found a letter on the door.
“What’s this?” It was a letter written by Aooni.

Dear Akaoni-kun,

    Did you enjoy playing with children? If children know that you are my friend, they will be run away from you. So I’ll get out of here. Please don’t forget me. Your friends are not only human children but also me. You are kind and strong. You are the best demon! I’m proud of you.
