A DAY IN THE LIFE OF KENTA
1. Kenta is from Shizuoka, Japan. He is nine years old. He lives in a traditional Japanese-style house with his mother, father
and older brother. Kenta has never been to a foreign country but in his daily life he is connected
to many places around the world…
2. Every morning, Kenta gets up at
7am. He wakes up to the sound of his alarm clock, which was made in China Kenta doesn’t like to wake up early but he
can’t be late for school!
3. For breakfast, Kenta likes to
eat cereal and fruit. His favorite fruit
is bananas. The bananas Kenta eat come all the way from thePhilippines.
4. Once breakfast is finished,
Kenta’s father takes him to school by car.
Kenta’s fathers’ car is a silver BMW
from Germany. It can go very fast.
5. Once Kenta arrives at school, he goes into his classroom. Most of his classmates are from Japan but there are also some kids from Brazil and Thailand.
6. Sometimes an ALT from the USA visits his class to teach English and tell the students about life in various countries. Kenta likes English. He wants to learn to speak it well so that he
can easily communicate with people from all over the world.
7. Kentas favorite time of the day
is lunchtime. He eats his lunch quickly
before going outside to play Soccer
with his friends. Soccer originated in England but these days it is popular all over the world.
8.After school, Kenta goes home
and does his homework before dinner. His favorite meal is Pizza, which originated in Italy.
9. After dinner, Kenta likes to play video games on his Playstation2, which was made in Japan.
10. At about 9pm, Kenta says goodnight to his parents and brother and
goes upstairs to his bedroom. He thinks
about his day and dreams of one day visiting all the countries he is connected
to.
